Randall Smith is the founder of PowerLabs. He specializes in helping clients use design thinking processes to design and run leaderful campaigns.
Previously, Randall led a team that provided strategic support to user-generated campaigns on Change.org's platform. His work at Change.org helped people win life-changing (and life-saving) victories including freeing loved ones from prison and changing the policies that govern lung transplants for kids. His team at Change.org garnered the company millions of dollars of earned media, and added millions of users to the platform.
He also directed the digital program at Corporate Accountability International, an international NGO that protects people and the environment from corporate abuses. He got his start as an organizer with the alter-globalization movement and economic and racial justice organizations in California and Arizona.
Randall is a Campaign Bootcamp mentor, a Momentum trainer, and a member of the Article 25 advisory board.
Dara Silverman is a Director at PowerLabs where she specializes in helping groups move people from online to offline action and to raise money from individual donors.
Dara was the Founding Director of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), a national network of white people taking action for racial justice. Dara helped grow SURJ from 12 chapters to over 150 chapters, raised over $500,000 for Black-led organizing through the matched giving program and moved SURJ successfully though the startup stage.
Previously, she was the Executive Director of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) in New York City. She was also an organizer at Neighbor to Neighbor MA and United for a Fair Economy.
Nicole Carty is a Director with PowerLabs where she focuses on online to offline mobilization and creating structures and processes to support volunteer-led teams.
Prior to PowerLabs, Nicole was a Campaign Manager at SumOfUs where she ran campaigns to bring equitable policies to the tech industry, served as a communications specialist, and implemented internal anti-oppressive organizational structures.
Previously Nicole was Programming Director at The Other 98% where she helped grow the organization’s social media reach into the millions.
Nicole is movement builder who was deeply involved in Occupy Wall Street and has played critical roles in the Movement for Black Lives.
Nicole is also a Lead Trainer and Core team member at Momentum.
Thaís Marques is a Director with PowerLabs where she focuses on using digital tools and tactics to reach communities of color and immigrants and move them into action-oriented teams.
Prior to PowerLabs, Thaís led the digital program and student organizing at Movimiento Cosecha. While at Cosecha she developed new models for recruiting undocumented immigrants through social channels and connecting them to the movement.
She has also worked as a student organizer in Newark, NJ leading the fight against the privatization of public schools in the city.
